Eastview Homes (“we,” “our,” “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information of our clients, employees, and business partners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws in Ontario, Canada.

We collect only the personal information necessary to provide home renovation or custom construction services and operate our business. This may include:

• • Name, address, phone number, and email address

• • Billing and payment information

• • Records of service requests, estimates, invoices, and contracts

We collect personal information directly from you (in person, by phone, by email, or through our website) and, where necessary, from third parties with your consent. 

3. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE

We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including:

• • Providing renovation / construction services and fulfilling service requests

• • Preparing estimates, contracts, and invoices

12. CONSTRUCTION-SPECIFIC CONSIDERATIONS

Property access information

Eastview Homes may collect limited property access details (such as gate codes, lockbox codes, or alarm system instructions) strictly for the purpose of completing scheduled electrical services. This information will be safeguarded, used only as necessary, and deleted or destroyed once no longer required. 

Regulatory and utility compliance

In the course of providing construction services, Eastview may be required to share client information (such as name, service address, and project details) with regulatory authorities including but not limited to municipal permitting offices. Such disclosure will only occur as required by law or necessary to complete the construction work.

Subcontractors and assistants

Where subcontractors, apprentices, or assistants are engaged to perform work, they may have limited access to personal information necessary for completing their duties, and Eastview Homes requires all such individuals to adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy obligations. 

Warranty, safety, and record keeping

Certain service records (such as inspection documents, permits, and invoices) may be retained longer than other personal information to ensure compliance with legal requirements, safety standards, insurance policies, or warranty obligations. 

Emergency contact information

Where required for on-site safety or project coordination, Eastview Homes may request emergency contact details. This information will only be used in the event of a health, safety, or urgent incident and will be safeguarded like all other personal information.
